Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad 40th Anniversary
Chama
August 27-29
Mark this weekend as your travel destination for August as “America’s Highest and Longest Narrow Gauge Scenic Railroad” celebrates its 40th anniversary.
The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad is co-owned by the states of Colorado and New Mexico. This season commemorates the 40 years of this unique bi-state partnership.
Each day, special Celebration Trains will depart at 10:00 a.m. during this weekend event. The special train line up also includes a Gubernatorial Train on Friday, hosting state dignitaries. Train enthusiasts will be delighted with special runs of the Galloping Goose and Working Freight Trains. The weekend will also feature special shop and depot tours, demonstrations, and movie clips starring the C&TSRR. For more details, visit www.cumbrestoltec.com or call 1-888-286-2737.
