Gathering of Quilts

Stop by the Ralph Edwards Civic Auditorium for a look at colorful, homemade quilts, and more.

Gathering of Quilts was started by Mary Alyce Grow, a winter visitor from Nebraska, so that she could have friends to quilt with while visiting Truth or Consequences. As the group grew, it was evident others wanted to learn the art, so the group was named Winter Quilters of Sierra County. With all the quilts they made, a growing need for a quilt show was born—Gathering of Quilts.

The event features raffles, guessing games, vendors, food booths, and hundreds of quilts to view. The event is free but donations are appreciated. Proceeds are used to purchase needed batting, thread or other materials to make charity quilts that are donated all around Sierra County.
