We have already distributed half of the books to our offices and will be able to circulate them all very soon to our rural patrons. I very much appreciate your thoughtfulness and it was a lovely surprise to learn that you were aware of our bookmobile stops in rural New Mexico. It is the generosity of organizations such as yours that make our program such a success.

I find enchantment very enjoyable and informative. I look forward to the issues—few monthlies are worth reading, but this one is very good.

I wanted to thank you very much for your kind review of my book, Sing My Whole Life Long: Jenny Vincent's Life In Folk Music And Activism, earlier this spring. I made sure Jenny got a copy, and it made her very happy. Jenny will be 98 on April 22. She is still doing well up in San Cristobal, and I have the pleasure of playing music with her every week. Thank you again. It’s always a pleasure to read enchantment.

Your March article about building efficiency had a photo of a “Round House.” The under construction house could have been a “DELTEC.” Our home at Timberlake outside Ramah is a Deltec Home. They were first developed on the east coast to allow hurricane winds to flow around the building. This type of structure has no inside bearing walls. We love our Deltec Home with its large great room. Thank you.

Thank you for honoring DWI Victims by telling your readers about the NM National DWI Victims’ Memorial of Perpetual Tears (July 2010 cover story). The article about the memorial is well written and moving. I hope more bereaved families and survivor victims of DWI will now know this memorial is for them and will in turn apply for recognition. We are here for them. Well done by enchantment and Craig Springer!

The opportunity to submit artwork for enchantment is such a boost for my students. I laminated a copy of last month’s (March 2010) youth page and put it in the hall. One of my students who had his work published is so proud of it. We got extra copies so he could give them to his family. He is making good progress in his academics and I believe part of that progress is due to his published artwork. The Youth Page provides a place for students from all over New Mexico to “shine” each month. You may never know the far-reaching positive effects of this opportunity.

-Nancy Miller, Teacher, Mescalero Elementary School
