March 2009

Lucky Charms

For March’s topic, Lucky Charms, the drawings went beyond the green of St. Patrick’s Day. The youth artists drew what they believe as “lucky.” From shark teeth and clovers, to wishing on the stars. The youth artists did a fantastic colorful job!

Oh the joy of bunnies, baby chicks, ribbons and bows, and let’s not forget colorful eggs! For April’s topic, Egg Delights, draw a basket full of colorful eggs with designs. You can also get real creative and draw a portrait of yourself or your favorite animal on one large egg.

One of our youth artists, Echo Murphy, sent in suggestions for youth art. We always welcome suggestions for future topics. For May’s topic, Fantasy Shoes, draw a pair that fit you. Are they the size of the Eiffel Tower or as small as a penny? Are they rainbow colored or plain? Do the shoes have special powers that allow you to jump, fly or dance? Whatever you choose, make sure to stretch your imagination!

Reminder: Be sure to include a name, address and age on your entry.
