Magic Instruments
Colorful creatures in acrobatic flight are everywhere this month, from the mountains to the backyard. Youth Artists, thank you for the nice drawings of dragonflies and butterflies.
As musical notes fill the air for August’s topic, Magic Instruments, draw yourself playing the drums, guitar, violin, piano, or any instrument you can think of. Or, design a new one. What happens when you start playing—do people get up and dance, or do magical musical notes or bubbles come out of your instrument? Whatever you do, have a rhythmic time!
Have you ever been to a puppet show? Have you ever seen Pinocchio? Have you ever had a big laugh because mom or dad acted silly with a hand puppet? If you answered yes or no, take time this month to bring out the magic of a puppet for September’s topic, Parade of Puppets. Is your puppet a blue bear, a pink lizard, a purple alligator? A boy or girl puppet? Is your puppet a hand one or does it hang off of strings? No matter what, have a creative time!
Reminder: Put your age and address on your drawings. Several drawings were automatically disqualified this month because no age or address were included.
